Jeremy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Texas, Austin. While attending UT, Jeremy served as research assistant to the Director of Science, Technology and Society, Dr. Elizabeth Keating. In Spring 2005, Jeremy received University Honors for an exemplary GPA of 3.75. Jeremy also attended the University of Buenos Aires for a semester, where he studied Linguistics. After graduating from UT in 2005, Jeremy took a technical support position in a law firm. Using his computer and analytical skills, Jeremy established for the firm a real estate document database. He also brought the law firm online, established a firm server, and updated their billing software/protocol and accounting systems. It was during this tenure that Jeremy fell in love with the practice of law. And, in 2006, he applied to St. Mary’s Law School.
In the Fall of 2006, Jeremy was accepted into St. Mary’s Law School where he excelled. At St. Mary’s, he was made a member of the international legal fraternity of Phi Delta Phi, based on his exemplary academic performance. He thereafter served as an active member of the St. Mary’s chapter of Phi Delta Phi and, in 2008, was elected, by the chapter’s members, to the chapter’s board (where he served as the chapter’s treasurer from 2008-2009). Jeremy was also a member of the St. Mary’s Law Review, first as a staff writer (2007-2008) and later as an associate editor (2008-2009). Jeremy’s academic excellence and other contributions to the Law School were well recognized by his peers and professors alike. In 2008, a faculty board granted Jeremy a summer internship for United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge, Edward Prado. That same year the law review’s boards (comprised of the law reviews student editors) named Jeremy to the Law Review’s Leadership Counsel. In May of 2009, Jeremy graduated from St. Mary’s Law School finishing in the top 15% of his class. After passing the State Bar with flying colors, Jeremy was asked to join The Gilbreath Law Firm, PLLC as an associate.
Jeremy is a passionate practitioner of the law, who takes pride in “professionalism” and in “providing his clients with legal services that are cost effective and of the highest caliber.” His practice areas and interests include: personal injury, employment law, family law, and “anything involving trial or litigation.” Jeremy also contributes considerable time as an appointed lawyer for indigent clients (in both criminal and civil matters).
